"That Full Dinner Pail- What to put in it"
We have currently sold out of this book
The beginning of July I purchased this really fun cookbook that was originally printed in 1901. Its a fascinating look at mostly middle class and working class cooking. I will be reprinting it in a paperback form with perfect binding (glued spine). The pages have been individually scanned, color corrected to print in black and white. Plans are currently to print with ivory linen style paperback cover.
The Full Dinner Pail, refers to a Republican campaign slogan in the 1900 presidential election campaign, used to emphasize the prosperity of William McKinley's first term and to appeal particularly to the labor vote. Below are some campaign buttons from the McKinley/Roosevelt campaign that is referenced by this book title.
