The handles are applied just over the top of the braid line parallel to the finished edge as shown below.
Measure 4 1/2 inches from the raw edge of the large rectangular piece and pin in place. Repeat for other side of handle, and on the other finished edge of this piece.
Stitch in place 1/4 inch from end of handle, making sure to back stitch. I repeat this about 3 times to make sure it is well secured.
Overlap the finished edges of the bag, making the folded edge of one side meet the edge of the twill tape on the other. Make sure that the buttonholes are on top.
Pin in place.
Divide both round pieces into fourths, by folding in half and marking them at the fold line then fold in half again matching those marks and marking the fold again Divide the bag ends into quarters and mark Basically you can fold the tube in half, and press to mark at the folds, then fold it again and press to find the second quarter marks.
